Our Practice

Stiff+Trevillion are a well-established West London practice with a strong reputation for elegant and sophisticated architecture. Collaboration is at the heart of the practice's ethos. From the development of the brief with the client, to the delivery of the project with the design team, we work together.

Established in the early 1980’s the studio employs around 60 people. As well as architects and technicians, we employ interior and furniture designers. This blend of skills reflects the work we do across the commercial, restaurant & retail and private residential sectors and builds a rich and creative working environment.

We have built a good reputation and strong working relationships with many central London boroughs, and whilst most of our work is in the capital, we carry out projects across the UK and overseas.

Stiff+Trevillion embraces diversity and are committed to building a team that represents the full range of backgrounds, perspectives and skills in our society. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be and we pride ourselves on being an equal opportunities employer.

To encourage access to architecture for all, we partner with Blueprint for All (formerly Stephen Lawrence Trust), The Academy of Real Assets, the RIBA, Westminster University and RCA mentoring architectural students. We support the RIBA Schools programme visiting primary schools and host many work experience pupils of different ages and backgrounds in the Studio. We also work with the Universities of Sheffield, London Met. and Southbank offering different routes to architectural education via collaborative practice courses and apprenticeships.

We have an energetic Green Team pushing the practice towards sustainable targets and we are signatories and supporters of Architect's Declare. We support employees involved in charity events such as the Club Peloton Cycle to MIPIM and the HD5k among others. We are also members of Heart of the City, helping us drive our Responsible Business programme.

The practice is an active member of the NLA and BCO among other industry organisations and we encourage our colleagues to attend events, talks and seminars along with a regular CPD programme in the Studio.

The practice has won many architectural awards most recently recognised as the 2021 BD Office Architect of the Year, and an INSIDE Festival winner and we have won BCO, RIBA, Civic Trust and NLA awards among others over the years.
